Witchlanders Book Launch!

Last Thursday, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the book launch for Lena Coakley's Witchlanders, which was so much fun and just plain incredible!

It was held in a stunning bookstore in Toronto, Ben McNally Books. I'd never been there before, but the location was just perfect. I actually don't have many opportunies to go to neat little indie bookstores like this one, since we only have a Coles where I live so it was such a treat for me!

But seriously, check out this set up and chandelier:

Gorgeous, right?

Simon & Schuster Canada did a wonderful job hosting this book launch, with delicious food (mm, soo good!), complimentary wine and water, and they were even generous enough to raffle off a gift basket with 5 books...yes, I wish I had won it! ;)

I really enjoyed the signing and reading Lena did as part of the evening; I hadn't picked up Witchlanders yet so I bought myself a copy, which she graciously signed for me AND I was so impressed when she asked right away if I was Brenna- after I had only talked to her on Twitter once to say that I was coming for the book launch! It was so thoughtful of her to have taken the time to anticipate who was coming, as she did the same with Angel from Mermaid Visions who attended as well. And we were also happened to run into Geek Girl's Book Blog :) both of whom are fantastic Canadian book bloggers!

Lena really is a thoughtful and charming woman, and she picked the perfect selection to read from Witchlanders: just enough to give everyone a taste and leave us wanting more!

Thank you SO much to Lena  and Simon & Schuster Canada for taking the time to put on a wonderful event for all of us to enjoy! I'm really excited to start reading my copy of Witchlanders :)
